The truck wannabe analogy is absurd and shows an abject lack of understanding and logical thinking. The truck is just like a natural gas generation plant, i.e. it is DISPATCHABLE (i.e. available to run when you want it) so when you go outside and start it is will run precisely as you want and it will go nonstop at whatever speed you desire until you get to your destination. EXACTLY like a gas generation plant. And when you do not need it, you shut it off. Provided it has evil fossil fuel, it will run nonstop 24/7 until it needs an oil change, like city taxis that run 24/7 with multiple drivers. However, wind and solar are not dispatchable and will only produce feeble amounts of energy when wind or sun is available. Now imagine you own a green, emission-free sail car power by wind only and you are hungry and need organic, GMO-fee, gluten-free, fair-trade, all-natural groceries. Ooops there’s no wind. But at 3 AM your wind sensor goes off, “Wait, there’s a breeze now, I can go shopping. Oh damn Whole Foods is closed.” Wind is NOT dispatchable and only available when wind blows. Gas plants are dispatchable and available on demand.

Conflict Resolution; 11/7; 12:30-1:30 p.m. We all know there’s no such thing as a conflict-free office. And as uncomfortable and draining as conflict can be, conflict in and of itself isn’t really the problem. It’s how we handle it that matters.  In our time together, we will learn the different types of conflict, learn to use several tools to help us address conflict in healthy and productive ways, learn how to reap the benefits of conflict and finally how to mitigate its risks. We’ll also practice using these tools together so that we can all become more confident in handling disagreements within our team and in our personal lives.

Worker Killed When Run Over By a Truck on the Film Barbershop Employer: Blind Decker Productions, Inc., Los Angeles At approximately 2:30 p.m. on August 16, 2005, Employee #1 was working for the transportation department on a production in a parking lot at a park. A coworker was operating a red 1999 Ford F-550 truck (Serial Number 5V26838) transporting a generator. After arriving at the parking lot, the coworker unhooked the equipment in one of the parking spaces and started to approach another coworker in the backward direction. The operator was using the side view mirrors during the backward movement. About half way, he heard the other coworker yell for him to stop. According to the coworker, Employee #1 was standing directly behind the truck and was hidden from operators view. The bed of the truck struck Employee #1 causing him to fall to ground at which time the truck’s rear wheels ran over him. Employee #1 was killed.

At the start of each Monday meeting, everyone goes around and states their questions at the outset. Friston walks in slow, deliberate circles as he listens, his glasses perched at the end of his nose, so that he is always lowering his head to see the person who is speaking. He then spends the next few hours answering the questions in turn. “A Victorian gentleman, with Victorian manners and tastes,” as one friend describes Friston, he responds to even the most confused questions with courtesy and rapid reformulation. The Q&A sessions—which I started calling “Ask Karl” meetings—are remarkable feats of endurance, memory, breadth of knowledge, and creative thinking. They often end when it is time for Friston to retreat to the minuscule metal balcony hanging off his office for another smoke.

Mr Piau explains that Sonoco Alcore tubes are produced in several factories in Europe, the main being the French plant near Grenoble, with additional facilities in locations including Germany, Poland and Greece. 

That continuity can be critical for fit-up, he said. “We cut a lot of tubular stair columns that have to sit squarely on the base plate. With the Ring of Fire, we have no fit-up problems.”

For 2019, we expect the effective tax rate to be 25% for the full year.
