To talk about ‘4 percent of nameplate capacity’ is grossly misleading and, in fact, makes no sense. If you want to talk about performance you have to compare the expected energy produced (based on solar models for the location) to actual energy produced. If that energy is sold to the grid and the operators can make money, you have what we call a ‘business’. This is what has been happening in Alberta for more than 20 years, under multiple governments.

There’s some interesting times ahead for Albertans if this injudicious cabal of climate obfuscators gain a renewed mandate in 2019 to continue spending vast borrowed billions adding to a tab our grandchildren’s kids will be stuck settling,as the government of the day muddles about experimenting with future energy requirements.

Don’t want to pay to clean up your toxic $58 billion – $260 billion mess? No problem, if $1.6 billion won’t cover it, Albertans are more than happy to pick-up the rest of that tab.
